The Land Of Fire
Our trip to Baku, Azerbaijan, was a journey that brought us to a place with a long history, a vibrant culture, and delectable food. Baku is a city of contrasts that is likely to enthral any visitor, from the narrow streets of the Old City to the contemporary skyscrapers along the Caspian Sea. Our adventure led us on a gastronomic investigation of the exquisite Middle Eastern and European combination that is Azerbaijani food. We sampled both traditional foods like plov, dolma, and kebab as well as more modern meals that showed off the inventiveness of regional chefs. We also immersed ourselves in the city’s unique history and culture because our trip wasn’t just about eating. At the Azerbaijan National Museum of History, we learnt about the nation’s oil sector, toured the stunning Flame Towers, and strolled around the historic walls of the Old City. Overall, Baku provided a superb blend of culture, cuisine, and adventure throughout our time. We can’t wait to tell our readers about our adventures and encourage others to visit this special and fascinating city.
